Privacy

Last updated June 7, 2026

Stockr is a home for what you collect. This page explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. The short version: your catalog is private by default, it stays yours, and you can export or delete it anytime.

What we collect

  • Account info: your name, email, and avatar, provided through our sign-in provider when you create an account.
  • Your catalog: the items you add, including titles, details, condition, values, notes, tags, and the photos you upload.
  • Profile + social activity: your username, bio, follows, hearts, comments, and messages.
  • Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the app is used, so we can improve it.
  • Payment info: if you subscribe, our payments provider processes your payment. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

  • To run the product: store and display your catalog, profile, and social activity.
  • To power features you choose to use, like AI-assisted item identification and similarity, which send the item's photo and details to our AI providers to generate a result.
  • To process subscriptions and the features they unlock.
  • To keep Stockr secure and to fix problems.

Service providers we share data with

We use a small set of trusted providers to run Stockr. They only receive what they need to do their job:

  • Authentication and backend hosting, to store your account and catalog.
  • Payments, to process subscriptions.
  • AI providers, to identify items and compute visual similarity from the photos and details you submit.
  • Marketplaces you explicitly connect (such as Discogs or eBay), only when you choose to connect them or push a listing. We store the access token for a marketplace you connect, encrypted, and you can disconnect it anytime.

We do not sell your personal information.

What's public, and what's not

Items, shelves, and profiles are private by default. Something becomes visible to others only when you choose to make it public or share it. When you mark an item public or for sale, the details you put on it can be seen by anyone. Your personal notes, what you paid, and your private items are never shown to others.

Your choices

  • Privacy controls: set visibility per item, shelf, and profile. The most private setting always wins.
  • Export: download your entire catalog as a CSV anytime, including custom fields.
  • Delete: delete your account from settings, which removes your catalog, photos, and associated data.
  • Block: block another collector to remove your visibility to each other.

Data retention + security

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your catalog, photos, and associated records. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, though no method is perfectly secure.

Children

Stockr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
